In Unit 5, we learned about Newton's Three Laws of Motion. These three laws are used to help us understand more about kinetics, which is the study of motion. The first law also known as the law of intertia, states every object in motion, remains in that state of motion unless another force is put on it. This means that an object will keep moving at same rate unless pushed by another variable. For example a car going at a constant speed of 32 miles per hour will stay at the speed unless is hit by another force like acceleration or breaking.
The second law states that the relationship between mass and acceleration is force. Acceleration and force are both vector quantities which means they are based off magnitude and direction. The third law says that with every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. For example, with the ocean, with these reactions on the water, it creates the waves being made from the constant actions of the waves being pulled and hit in different directions.

this is a great example for the third law, i felt like that was the hardest one. I also like how in the beginning you explain the importance of these laws.
ReplyDeletethe third law is very hard to explain but i love your analogy with the ocean! it makes total sense and is btw a very nice pic!
ReplyDeleteYour picture is so pretty! At first I was a little bit confused, but when I read your description things made so much sense! It was genius how you related the idea to your picture!
