The picture that I took is of my parent's car, by using a car, it applies to physics and shows acceleration in many ways. In a car, there are 3 types of acceleration that is caused from the brakes, gas pedal, and steering wheel. From stepping on the brakes and the car gets slower, having a negative acceleration. From stepping on the gas pedal, it accelerates the car. The steering wheel is important because it controls direction. Direction has an affect on displacement which then affects velocity. For example, if you make a half turn with the steering wheel in your car, and go all the way back to the starting point in the same path, you can have an average or instantaneous speed, but you will have no displacement or velocity.
