The clock is used to tell time and when measured is put into base units, which are used around the world. The standard measuring unit for time is seconds, but there are also other words that can describe it like minutes, hours, and days. For working clocks, they often have a dangling object at the end of a stick located at the very bottom of the clock. This is a pendulum, which when hit against the sides of the clock makes the little ticking sound you hear around every second. From the pendulum lab, we did in class, I learned that by lengthening the dangling object away from the clock, it will take longer to swing, therefore messing up the beat. I found that if I changed the object or the dropping angle, it won't have a significant affect on the clock's beat.

  1. Just a couple gramatical changes..sorry trying to help you out.
Ignore them if you think they're wrong.
    - 'areused' change to 'are used'
    - comma after 'seconds', comma after 'lab'
    - past tense of 'learn' is 'learned'..not 'learnt'..maybe I'm wrong.

  2. Jessica is right, the past tense of "learn" is "learned." I like the way you described the pendulum in the clock, it was helpful in learning it's use, as well as how and why it relates to physics
